St. Patrick’s Cathedral
August 15-18, 2022
Every block of downtown Dublin has its own character, just like each illuminated letter from its treasured Book of Kells is unique. Locals say the city was planned by a drunkard, but I liked the element of surprise. Dublin was like the best of London without being overrun.
The girls loved dressing up as Vikings at Dublinia and Anna loved St. Patrick’s Cathedral with its ornate floor and bizarre artifacts. The Irish have a quick smile and a quicker wit; it was easy to feel welcome staying on campus at Trinity College or visiting St. Catherine’s church on Sunday morning.
